By practicing prenatal yoga throughout your pregnancy, you can experience a more mindful entrance into motherhood, while also lessening discomfort, lowering anxiety, and improving sleep. Haven Dallas

Certified prenatal yoga instructor Erica White started her yoga journey eight years ago after experiencing a lack of support during her first pregnancy following a move to a new city. She decided to attend a prenatal yoga class to find community and discovered a love for the restorative practice of prenatal yoga. Fast forward to the present day and you can now attend her holistic and restorative hour-long prenatal and postnatal yoga sessions at Haven Dallas.

Her classes are designed for mamas in all stages of pregnancy and with any level of yoga experience. However, Erica is very passionate about making sure that every mom is fully prepared for childbirth and beyond, so moms shouldn’t expect an easy workout—you are going to move throughout each session. These classes are designed to safely and effectively improve your pelvic floor, leg strength, and core muscles for your delivery and your recovery.

During these hour-long exercise sessions, moms can also anticipate boosting their breathwork skills and building relationships with other mothers who are going through similar experiences and struggles. These invigorating classes are available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays and up to 30 moms are welcome to attend each class.

Erica also offers private classes for moms looking for a more personalized workout. Classes are $25 or you can purchase class packs or unlimited monthly memberships for a discounted rate. You can visit their website for more information on group classes or reach out to Erica directly on Instagram to find out about her private class offerings.

For over 20 years, MoveStudio has been a trusted women-centered wellness center in far North Dallas that offers yoga classes tailored-made for pregnancy, labor, and delivery. However, unlike other studios in the region, owner Candace Bordelon, Ph.D., has also implemented postpartum recovery classes that prioritize pelvic floor health. This allows moms to not only build a mind-body connection before giving birth, but to also find strength, community, and support during a part of pregnancy that is often overlooked.

All of their prenatal and postnatal yoga classes are taught by certified prenatal yoga instructor and pelvic floor health specialist, Sue Dado. Moms-to-be can expect each session to be structured like a traditional yoga class, but they’re tailored to give women in all stages of their pregnancies a customized workout. These 75-minute classes are available on Saturday mornings at 8:30am and focus on using calming stretches, centering breathwork, and both strengthening and stamina-building exercises to prepare moms for childbirth.

And for those ladies who find themselves struggling with morning sickness, young kids, or just the idea of getting out of bed early in the morning, MoveStudio offers their students the option to attend via live stream or by recording. This gives moms-to-be the power to prioritize their health during any moment in their pregnancy—something that no other studio in the DFW region offers with their classes.
