Inspire Yoga

A space for pregnant moms to find serenity and community is Inspire Yoga. Each quarter, they offer four-week, in-person workshops to expectant moms where you can engage in safe stretching, balancing breathwork, and mindful meditation. These classes are designed for all skill levels and trimesters, and they aim to help moms-to-be during their pregnancy, labor, delivery, and beyond.

These small group workshops are taught by certified prenatal yoga instructor Diane Pintar, who has been teaching yoga for 12 years and focusing on prenatal instruction for the past two. Classes are offered on Sundays for an hour and each session is different. You can expect to go over an array of exercises and modifications for each trimester and there are even opportunities to work with your birthing partner during one of these customized workshops.

The goal of these classes is to allow mothers to slow down, connect with their bodies and their babies, and gain some tools for finding comfort and confidence during the many moments of pregnancy and postpartum. Individual classes cost $40 for non-members and $35 for members. If you decide to sign up for all four sessions of the workshop, the price is discounted to $140 and $120, respectively.

Class sizes are small with a max of 10 moms per session to allow for a very personalized experience. Seasonal workshop offerings and more information can be found on their website. And for the moms hoping to take more prenatal yoga classes with Inspire Yoga, you also have the option to sign up for private and semi-private sessions with Pintar year-round. Pricing varies on the number of attendees, and you can schedule these classes in their Private Lessons section online.

FIT4MOM

And for the moms looking for a workout opportunity beyond yoga, FIT4MOM offers mothers all over the Metroplex full-body workouts designed with pregnant bodies in mind. Their Prenatal Fit4Baby classes feature cardio exercises, stretching, and core training for moms in every trimester, allowing you to build your trunk muscle and pelvic floor strength as well as improve your balance and endurance in order to facilitate an easier labor and recovery.

Similar to prenatal yoga classes, you’ll also engage in stretching and meditation at the end of each class. And for the moms with multiple babies, their Stroller Strides, Strides 360, and Stroller Barre classes are three more fantastic full-body workouts that allow you to bring your babies and toddlers along for an energizing 60-minute class. These classes are ideal for both pregnant and new mothers.

Every FIT4MOM instructor is certified in prenatal and postpartum training and modifications are made for moms to allow for safe activity throughout the entirety of your pregnancy. There are typically less than 10 moms per class, but thanks to the fact that classes occur on location and are many times held outside, there is no cap to the group size. Best of all, the first class is always free and then you can decide to either purchase an eight-class pass for $129 or sign up for an unlimited class membership for $79 per month.

Amy Wooten, the FIT4MOM Burleson-Crowley owner, Fort Worth co-owner, and Certified Prenatal and Postnatal FIT4MOM instructor, notes that her favorite part about her business is that FIT4MOM really focuses on building a community of mothers. Having a village can make all a difference in your motherhood journey and these classes allow you to find joy, both physically and mentally. They even host special events and playdates for mamas and their babies to build a network of friends in the same season of life.
