Where to Hike in Dallas County

Opportunities to spend quality time outdoors might come few and far between. But Dallas actually offers a surprising variety of places to get a glimpse at local wildlife and habitat. But, now that we’re entering spring, it’s time to ditch those winter clothes and take advantage of the greener things in life.

It won’t take much to convince the kids to go hiking at Trinity River Audubon Center in Dallas. View birds, animal tracks and more on the five miles of trails that are ADA-accessible while taking in some fresh air.

Admission to the center is $6 adults, $3 kids and free for members and kids ages 2 and under. It’s recommended to wear appropriate clothes for the weather and closed-toe shoes. Call 214/398-8722 or visit trinityriveraudubon.org.
