Valley View Park in Arlington

Our Grade: 4/5

Where is it? 908 Highland Drive, Arlington. Just north of Park Row in a residential neighborhood. You can’t miss this bright orange-colored playground.

What makes it special? The structure for big kids has three levels, with slides on the top two. The play structure for ages 2–5 has a double slide so little ones can slide with a buddy.

What else? A concrete walkway surrounds the park, so bring your bikes, trikes and strollers. If you decide to bring a lunch, there’s a large pavilion with picnic tables.

Is it safe? This playground scored an A* on the Safety Report Card. There is no parking lot, so you’ll have to park on the street. The equipment is less than two years old and is in great condition. Fresh bark covers the playground surface, providing a soft landing in case there are any tumbles.

Plus
+ Open grassy area next to playground
No broken or missing parts

Minus
– No parking; must park on street
– No restrooms
