The Village at Fairview and the Village at Allen

Looking for a little variety in your day? Head over to The Village at Fairview and The Village at Allen where there is something for everyone to enjoy, indoors or out!

Conveniently located just off US 75 at Stacy Road, The Village at Fairview and The Village at Allen perfectly pair shopping and fine dining with outdoor adventures. Unlike most shopping centers, these villages offer plenty of room to romp around, from catch-and-release fishing ponds for aspiring anglers on the Allen side to an oversized chessboard on the Fairview side where kids can crawl around with giant knights and kings.

Where typical shopping centers resemble a concrete jungle, The Village at Fairview and The Village at Allen feel more like a community, with kids splashing around The Village Fountain and cyclists and hikers trekking the four-mile trail connecting the two villages. It’s not uncommon to see a family walking up to the iPic theater for a movie night while an intense game of checkers takes place in the shaded chess/checkerboard table area. It’s this sense of life and vibrancy that sets the stage for a remarkable family bonding experience.

A few short steps from the fountains is a whole new area to explore, with beach volleyball, horseshoes and a play area complete with a slide and larger-than-life (faux) turtle at The Village Beach. Growing gardeners can use their green thumbs to dig in the dirt in The Village Garden, equipped with tools, a shed and even scarecrows.

After a day of discovering the outdoor delights at The Villages, families can move inside for a drink or sweet treat at The Purple Cow or Paciugo Gelato before retreating to a Real Bookstore where the colorful kid area has playhouses for children to lounge around in while reading. (Check their online calendar for story times and store events at arealbookstore.com.)

At the heart of The Village at Allen lies The Grove, an open area complete with patio-style seating. A stroll to The Village Depot will reveal a fun-filled area for the young, and young-at-heart, to play in. Set up like a little town, this play area includes the Village Express Caboose (available for parties), a Texas-shaped hedge maze and scaled-down playhouses.

From shopping and dining to fishing and gardening, The Villages at Fairview and Allen make it easy to plan an exciting day out. Made it all the way there and forgot something important? Guest services offers complimentary supplies like volleyballs and horseshoes that can be checked out for the day!
