When was the last time you and your hubby went on a romantic getaway? If you replied “our honeymoon,” you’re way overdue. Fall in love all over again at The Inn at Dos Brisas in Washington, Texas, located about three and a half hours south of Dallas near College Station.
The inn features Spanish-styled luxury casitas, complete with satellite HDTV, L’Occitane bath products, a private patio and a fireplace with a remote control. You even get your own golf cart to explore the grounds.
After enjoying the infinity pool, horseback riding, spa services or bike tours, head to the inn’s restaurant, one of only 17 in the nation to be awarded a Mobil Five-Star rating. Head chef Jason Robinson, who recently became one of three chefs in North America to be named a “Grand Chef” by the Relais & Chateaux organization, makes dinner an experience, whether you choose the five-course seasonal or eight-course tasting menu. Robinson finds produce for his delectable dishes daily in the inn’s berry garden, orchard, herb garden and vegetable garden.
The inn’s Valentine’s Day special includes horse-drawn carriage rides, candied rose petals at turndown, couple’s massage, bottle of champagne and special gifts to be exchanged while sipping rose-infused hot chocolate at an outdoor bonfire. The package is $1,400 for one night; $2,000 for two nights (includes meals).
