Location: 4030 Coldwater Creek Lane. Located at the corner of E. Parker Road and Coldwater Creek Lane next to the Hickey Elementary School.
What makes it noteworthy: This blue wonderland—seriously, this playground is completely blue!—offers a fun place to play for kids and beautiful scenery for mom and dad. There are two play sets for older and younger kids and two different swing sets. One swing set has three kid swings and a strap-in baby swing, and the other has two baby swings and two kid swings.
Extras: There are four slides on the older kid play set and three on the baby play set. The bigger play area has toys and games build into the play structure in addition to a balance game and climbing bars right next to the play set. The younger kid play area has climbing steps and bouncy toys to play in. There is a covered pavilion, a beautiful lake, and a large parking area.
Safety: This playground received an A* on the Playground Safety Report Card. It was clean and had proper safety signs and precautions in place. Parents just need to watch kids if they get too close to the lake behind the play area, and or if they climb too high on the climbing areas.
