Location: 2820 Oak Grove Drive, Plano. Located down the street from Bowman Cemetery.
What makes it noteworthy: Santa Fe Park is built to look like a treehouse from both the outside and inside, complete with green leaves on top. The inside is decorated, so kids can pretend they’re looking out the windows of a house.
Extras: Sante Fe Park has three slides and four swings, including two baby swings. The play structure is surrounded by several different types of climbing walls and is located near a 1.6-mile walking trail.
Safety: This playground received an A* on the Playground Safety Report Card. There’s only one play set for older and younger kids, and it can be difficult to see them when they’re crawling through the tunnels. Although the playground is inside a neighborhood, the street is still fairly busy, so parents will want to watch kiddos closely as they get out of the car.
