Adjacent to the Oak Creek Tennis Center in Northeast Carrollton, Oak Creek Park is a great destination for fun-seeking families in search of a picturesque park. The park has a pavilion, practice field and basketball court, but the sprawling playground steals the show. Separate play areas for ages 2–5 and 5–12 ensure little kids won’t get run over by older, more rambunctious kids, and a quaint pavilion is a great spot for midday nibbles and photo ops. The playground equipment shows its age with patches of rust, but the wear is minimal and more than made up for in slides, swings and other classic playground equipment such as an old-fashioned tire swing. Prepare to park on the street and be forewarned that visibility might be limited when kids are crawling through the tunnels. 2537 Oak Creek Drive, Carrollton.
