Gallegos Park in Frisco

Next time you’re strolling with the kids around Frisco’s historic downtown, take a detour down Pecan Street for an afternoon of fun at Gallegos Park, which earned an A on DallasChild’s Safety Report Card.*

The playscape offers four slides, including a tall, twisty slide and two little slides geared toward younger fun-seekers. Overall, the park may be better for older kids, who will love the rock-climbing wall, monkey rings and balancing boards. The platform to the playscape’s covered slide is higher than the recommended 8 feet, which may be another turn-off for parents of little ones. But the playground is definitely good for blowing off a bit of steam after exploring downtown Frisco.

This review was distributed to Frisco Parks and Recreation for further review and/or action.
