Wow your family and friends with the world’s only twice-daily cattle drive, as they wander down Exchange Avenue every day at 11:30am and 4pm. Let the kids get lost in the Cowtown Cattlepen Maze, a 5,400 square foot, open air labyrinth of wooden pathways. After, visit the Barnyard Petting Coral or Mechanical Bull for some family-friendly fun! Traverse the breathtaking landscape from the famed Chisolm Trail to the banks of the Trinity River as you saddle up with Stockyards Stables Horseback Riding. Or if you prefer, step into the past on our carriage and stagecoach rides to replicate the old west in its true form.

There is no shortage of history when you have seven museums at your fingertips. The Stockyards Museum tells the story of the historic district through an extensive collection of artifacts and information pertaining to the development of the Stockyards. John Wayne: An American Experience is located in the heart of the district, and features over 400 pieces of memorabilia to tell the story of how he achieved the ultimate American dream through hard work and determination. The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame, Texas Rodeo Hall of Fame, Bull Riding Hall of Fame, Bill Pickett Museum and more are also just steps away.

All aboard the Beltline Express Mini Locomotive, where you and your little one will take a memorable ride around the historic district. Or take a real excursion on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad, which offers two trips that are perfect for families who want the experience of riding on a train.

Before you leave, be sure to end your night at the historic Cowtown Coliseum and don’t miss the world’s only year-round rodeo, every Friday and Saturday night at 7:30pm.
