Dino Tech Dissect

Professionals here actually build the dinos at this facility using all sorts of electric components, and at this special event, you can get in on the action by inspecting their inner workings, taking apart electronic pieces and putting them back together. Look here for more info.
Location: The Dinosaur Company, 420 Century Parkway, Allen
Date: Sunday, June 16, 10am–noon
Pricing: Free, but space is limited. If these sell out, there are still plenty of opportunities to tour their workshop.

Steakhouses for Father’s Day in DFW
TrailDust Steakhouse
Details: For a lunch or dinner out with the whole family, head up to this steakhouse in Sanger. It’s a local favorite not only for its savory and affordable cuts of steak, plus seafood and chicken (they’ve got a kids menu too)—but also for the restaurant’s own indoor slide. So your kids can get some of their sillies out while you enjoy your meal. No reservations are necessary. If you’re local or in a hurry, you can also order online and pick up at the drive-thru window.
Side note: If you’re gifting the dad in your life a necktie for this Father’s Day, don’t let him wear it here. This restaurant is famous for snipping off said ties and sticking them to the wall as trophies.
Location: 1200 Stemmons Freeway, Sanger
Date: Open daily; 11am–9pm Sunday–Thursday and 11am–10pm Friday–Saturday
Pricing: Cut steaks start at $14.99. Kids menu starts at $4.99.
Contact: Call 940/458-3512 or visit trailduststeak.com.
Fearing’s
Details: For a more formal dinner with dad (they’ve got a dress code), there’s nothing better than Fearing’s, run by the James Beard Award-winning celebrity chef Dean Fearing and located inside the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Uptown Dallas. Go online to reserve your table for Father’s Day. A special lunch features a three-course menu with duck carnitas, bacon-wrapped quail—and those are just the starters. See the full menu here, including brisket, baby back ribs and jalapeño Waygu sausage. The kids get a three-course meal too—with an assorted berry bowl, 4-ounce fillet, mac and cheese, banana pudding and coconut cream pie.

Date: Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Father’s Day lunch is Sunday, June 16, from 11am–3pm

For your littles, they can choose from the regular kids menu of mac and cheese, grilled cheese, chicken fingers or burgers.
