Mothers' Milk Bank of North Texas

Our Mission: We strive to improve the health and survival of infants through breastfeeding advocacy and the safe, equitable provision of pasteurized donor human milk.

We are the only nonprofit milk bank in North Texas serving the following patient populations: 1) premature and fragile infants in more than 70 neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), 2) outpatient babies at home with a medical need for donor milk and 3) healthy newborns at participating hospitals within the first two weeks of life.

Donors produce more breastmilk than their own babies need. They complete a health screening including a free, non-fasting blood test.

Donor milk is pasteurized and tested in our specialized laboratory. Each step exceeds compliance measures set by the Human Milk Banking Association of North America (HMBANA), developed according to the CDC, FDA and WHO.

The latest information about our FREE lactation support program is available on our website. Individualized breastfeeding support is provided by certified lactation consultants in person and virtually.
