Joylyn Niebes Wommack, publisher & advertising director
Joylyn first founded Lauren Publications, Inc. in 1984 when her own daughter was only 6 months old. First produced as The Children’s Pages, a resource book for parents, she then began publishing the magazine in 1986. Joylyn continues to operate the magazine as an independently-owned and woman-owned business, overseeing all editorial coverage and managing advertiser relationships. She lives in DFW and has three children and three grandchildren—with another on the way. You can reach her at publisher@dfwchild.com.

Lauren Niebes, associate publisher
An experienced creative director and designer, Lauren has been an integral part of the company for more than 20 years. She has established and executed the creative strategy for both print and digital platforms—setting the editorial tone across all titles and producing and styling issue covers featuring local kids selected from our annual model search. Amanda Collins Bernier, managing editor
An award-winning writer and editor, Amanda has more than a decade of experience in newspapers and magazines and has worked in the parenting media space for eight years. Elizabeth Smith, web & calendar editor
Covering the local arts and culture beat for DFWChild since 2012, Elizabeth writes about all things fun to do in The Weekend newsletter and in other digital and print content. Elizabeth is a Texas native and earned a master’s in journalism from the University of North Texas in Denton. She lives with her husband and is the proud aunt of four nieces and nephews.
