Hoblitzelle Park Playground in Plano

Tucked away in a wooded residential Plano neighborhood is Hoblitzelle Park, complete with a wooded nature trail, open fields and a playground. Although the play area is comprised of only one structure, it is unusually large with platforms of various levels, accommodating various ages. The equipment was built with a fair amount of safety features parents will appreciate like appropriate guardrails, suitable surfacing materials and no visible rust, gaps, head entrapments or splinters. Kids will keep busy enjoying the slides, exploring the crawl spaces and working out their arms and legs on the climbing equipment and hanging bars. A long swing set with seats for both babies and bigger kids adds an additional activity for children old and young…and adults young at heart!

Parents of preschoolers (ages 2-5) should, however, be aware that additional supervision might be necessary. With only one play structure, the playground’s design requires tinier (and perhaps more timid) tykes to share play space with older and more aggressive kids – a potential safety hazard and something for parents to keep in mind.

Overall, this Plano Park and playground provides a relatively safe and scenic family outing with plenty of activities to keep kids content (while they burn off their afternoon snack) and beautiful surroundings perfect for parental relaxation and enjoyment!
