Longhorn Park in Plano scores an A* for a safe and fun design. The neighborhood park located near an elementary school offers two playgrounds geared to different age groups. The distance between the playgrounds, however, might make it difficult for parents to keep an eye on more than one child. Swings are available for all ages. Longhorn Park provides one covered pavilion with grills and a large open area for practicing sports or running around. There are no restrooms, and the only available parking is at the elementary school. This playground contains newer equipment that is well kept and in good condition, but depending on what time you visit, be prepared to deal with large numbers of children coming from the school.
