Location: 1815 Altacrest Drive, Grapevine. Located in the neighborhood at the northwest corner of Baze and Glade roads. Parking is only available on the street.
Why it’s noteworthy: The playground is large for a neighborhood park and has two play structures and swings. It also has an animal theme with interactive equipment where kids can listen to animal sounds.
Extras: There are picnic tables and an open grassy area where you can spread out a picnic blanket or play a game of tag. There is not much else to this park, but the playground is big enough to keep kiddos busy.
Safety: Shadow Glen Park scored an A* on the Safety Report Card. The equipment is in great condition with no broken or missing parts and fresh bark covers the surface. The park is clean and well-maintained with no litter in sight.
