Where is it? Located at 2200 Briarhill Blvd., next to a residential area and Briarhill Middle School, off FM 407.
What makes it special? Kids have the run of the kingdom inside the Kid’s Kastle, an expansive wooden play place with towers, a pirate ship, cargo nets, swings and more.
What else? Bring a snack for a rest under the covered pavilion, feed the ducks, go fishing from the pier and explore the adjacent baseball and soccer fields, tennis courts and walking trails.
Is it safe? This playground scored an A* on the Safety Report Card. A tall fence borders the wooden play place and posted signs say video surveillance cameras are recording.
