Location: 2200 Norwood Drive. You will see a large sign for the park; turn in and the road leads you right to the playground.
Why it’s noteworthy: Since we reviewed the park in February, Chisholm Park’s playground has been updated with brand new equipment. There are now two large play structures with shaded coverings. The play structure for ages 2–5 has large guardrails and netting to help protect younger children from taking a tumble. Older kids will enjoy the many slides, games and climbing equipment the new play structure has to offer.
Extras: Chisholm Park also has a fishing pond across the parking lot from the playground. There’s a large dock and plenty of ducks, so don’t forget to bring a loaf of bread and a camera.
Safety: This playground scored an A* on the Safety Report Card. The playground doesn’t have the wear and tear that you usually find, so you can feel confident letting your little ones climb and play.
