Whitney Brown and her husband Keith grew up in the Mansfield area and knew they wanted to be close to family as they raised their own kids—so Mansfield remained home. Brown, the office manager for an investment firm, and Keith, a vice president for a document solutions company, have a 6-year-old named Charlotte and a 3-year-old named Clark.
Favorite family restaurant We love Mama Cuca’s in Mansfield. It’s a small, family–owned Mexican restaurant near our neighborhood. They know us by name and are so kind and loving to our kids.

Best park Oliver Nature Park is a great space in Mansfield. We can run, have a family picnic, or, my son’s favorite, find lots of bugs and sticks.

Favorite family outing We really like to get together with friends at our home or visit one of our parks to play, run and bike.
For a night out The Backyard across from The LOT is our favorite date night spot. We usually grab burgers at Twisted Root followed by ice cream at Hypnotic Emporium. If an event is going on at The LOT, it is easy to cross the street and listen to music or enjoy an outdoor movie night.

Self-care spot Running or walking in our neighborhood is probably my No. 1 these days, but I also love a good pedicure at Tresor Nail Studio, the nail salon near my home!

Go-to for getting active I enjoy running in my neighborhood. I always feel safe, and the sidewalks and trails are easily accessible in our area.
For cooling off The kids are big fans of the splash pad at Clayton W. Chandler Park and Hawaiian Falls.
How they give back Our church has an annual “Serve Day.” We enjoy helping in our city.

Where she found her mom squad I have made friends through our church family at Creekwood Church and the other moms from school. Mansfield residents are welcoming and friendly. I find it easy to get connected.
Why Mansfield is great for families We love Mansfield for our fantastic schools, safe neighborhoods and hospitality. We know all our neighbors, and I love that the kids are always outside playing together. We love the kinship and community we find here.
