Welcome to #ThingsWeLove! The editors here at DFWChild are excited to share with you brands, places or on-trend items that have caught their eye. This week, our Digital Editor, Sydney Blalock Ritchie, is putting a spotlight on household item, Blueland Soap.
Make sure to check back every Friday for more recommendations! You never know what cool hole-in-the-wall spot or game-changing product they’ll find …
There are a lot of items in my house that I’ve realized I buy out of habit. Maybe it’s because that’s what my parents always bought (must get Reynold’s Wrap, no other foil will do) or it became a habit in college and law school (coffee in bulk, please).
It also probably happens because there are certain household items that haven’t really changed that much over the years. Think about it. When was the last time we saw facial tissue or napkins make massive strides in its product development?
But one item you should consider taking a look at is soap.
Blueland Soap, an environmentally friendly soap that you can have delivered to your home, is definitely making new strides. And the delivery aspect isn’t even the best part. The best part is the soap comes in tablet form with accompanying glass bottles that you can reuse over and over again.
Here’s how it works: You order a starter kit, which comes with a glass bottle and a few (about three) soap tablets. Fill the glass bottle with water (the bottle has a fill line), and drop one tablet in. The tablet dissolves and, ta-da, you have soap. Once you’ve gone through the tablets that came with your starter kit, order more.
Using this soap saves you so much space, and you go through way less plastic too. You have one bottle with tablets that can be easily stored versus a bunch of back-up plastic soap bottles you can use only once.
Another perk, Blueland also sells laundry detergent, dish detergent and cleaning sprays. There are whole kits available as well. Try it out and tell us what you think!
