The Keg

Vibe: Sometimes a long week calls for a night out with your significant other. But a babysitter isn't always on hand — treat your kids and your spouse to a sophisticated (yet accessible) dinner at The Keg Steakhouse & Bar. The casual setting of The Keg is friendly to high-chairs, while it still captures the upscale dining setting that parents desire.

Why it's tot-friendly: Although this is a fancier restaurant, there’s always room for the little ones. (The mini-burgers received the stamp of approval!) The kids menu options include chicken strips, BBQ grilled chicken, sirloin steak and half back ribs. All meals are served with a vegetable plate so kids can eat healthy, and then top off their meal with ice cream (of course!).

Be sure to try: You can’t go wrong with a grilled top sirloin or a juicy prime rib. With the Keg-Size baked potato as a side this meal will definitely fill you up.

Good to know: The shrimp cocktail is a classic way to start off a meal, or brave eaters can try some sweet hot calamari that has a little spice to it.

Best times to go with kids: There’s no bad time to go with the kids. Whether it’s a quick lunch or a fancy dinner, this restaurant will make the little ones feel very grown-up. And, in my experience, there's very little wait time.
