Chill Out at a Southwest Soiree Desert-Inspired Baby Shower

With baby number two on the way, Caroline Hull left it up to the experts at Grit + Gold Studio in Fort Worth to plan her southwest-inspired shower. Event planner Lottie Fowler planned a sweet day for the stationary designer, sourcing a striped teepee from B.E. Little You and Me as the party’s centerpiece.

After receiving custom invitations from Hush Art Co., Caroline’s friends arrived to celebrate the newest member of the Hull tribe, baby Maeve. Bright flowers, wood accents, cactus and ice-cold lemonade set the mood for an authentic desert-like party experience. Lottie used potted cactus and flowers from We + You Studios in Lewisville to set the vibe. From the striped teepee and the mismatched vintage china to the neon marquee sign and homemade wild berry muffins, Caroline’s party proved to be eclectic and original.

Attendees sipped on raspberry lemonade and cucumber water while filling hand-stamped kraft bags from The Antipodean Project with caramel popcorn.

To help Caroline adorn the walls of Maeve’s nursery, guests choose from a variety of printed and chevron fabrics and crafted decorative hoops.

After crafts, guests enjoyed a homemade red velvet Bundt cake with cream cheese frosting and banana nut, blueberry, wild berry and chocolate chip muffins topped with arrow picks from Peppermint and Swish. Sweets were served on mismatched vintage China from Rent My Dust in Grapevine.
