The weather is warming up, so why not head to Frisco’s Shepherds Glen park at Rolater and Coit roads, which offers a wet and wild “sprayground” and a fun playscape that earned an A on DallasChild’s Safety Report Card.*
The playscape is better suited to little adventurers, but bigger kids will find plenty of fun too. A spider web-shaped structure will have little climbers getting a leg up. Two slides offer fun for kids of all ages, as does a springy purple dinosaur ride-on. A crawl space in the center of the playscape may obscure parents’ view of little children, so moms and dads should keep a careful watch on kids playing in the middle well.
The sprayground has plenty of space for splashing and running, plus a soft floor in case of spills. And a covered area with picnic tables will keep parents cool on a hot summer day.
