Reverchon Park, named after the French botanist Julien Reverchon, was intended to be the Central Park of Dallas at its inception in 1915. It’s since developed into a central recreational area for exercise, family activities and education. And its state-of-the-art playground for children is no exception – it received an A on DallasChild’s Safety Report Card.*
A beneficial feature to this play area is the expansive cover that protects the equipment and children from harsh weather elements. Additionally, the playground offers benches for onlooking parents or tired children. Signage is very clear as to what equipment is for which group of children and the appropriate rules and behavior required. Come rain or shine, this play area is a fun and safe haven for all ages.
This review was distributed to the City of Dallas Parks Park and Recreation department for further review and/or action.
