Ready, Set, Jump

Are your kids bouncing off the walls or using the couch cushions to slide down the stairs? Save your furniture (and sanity) by taking them to Jumpstreet in Plano. This indoor trampoline park will exhaust and entertain your kids for hours. Located in the Prestonwood Park shopping area, Jumpstreet is a massive space with trampolines, slides, a foam pit and even a mechanical bull. Kids and adults of all ages are welcome to join in the jumping fun. The main attraction is called Jumpstreet, where kids can jump, bounce, flip, run or skip down nine lanes of trampolines. This area is for children ages 8 and over, but if younger children want to check it out they must be accompanied by an adult or someone older than 12 who has a ticket. The Earthquake zone is the place for children ages 7 and under. Here they can slide safely down inflatable slides, play inside a teepee and ride on toys.

Kids can bounce over to the dodge-ball court, which has three lanes of trampolines to add extra fun to the favorite gym-class game. A “bouncer” monitors the area for rough playing, bad language and inappropriate conduct.

If kids get bored with jumping, they can change it up by visiting the Snow Slope slide, where they can fly downhill in an innertube. It’s like snow sledding minus the snow. Across the large room kids can swing or slide into a giant foam pit. Both of these areas require a fun pass for an additional $3 per visit for unlimited usage.

Pricing can be a bit confusing depending on the day you visit, but all prices are per hour. Kids will receive a colored wristband that indicates the time they arrived. Once their hour of jumping is over, staff will announce which color group’s time has expired. The jump sessions begin on the hour and the half-hour, so schedule your visit accordingly. There are concession foods and drinks available such as pizza, Dippin’ Dots and candy.

Parents are welcome to join in all the activities, but be warned you might be sore the next day after using muscles you never knew existed. If you need a breather, drop a few quarters into one of the massage chairs. You can watch the kids from there and wonder where they get all that energy!

Jumpstreet is a fun location for the entire family, rain or shine. You pay for what you play, but hey, it’s cheaper than replacing those couch cushions.
