Preston Meadow Park in Plano

Spring is on its way, and it’s a perfect time to get some fresh air and outdoor exercise. Try checking out the divine diversions at Plano’s Preston Meadow Park, which earned an A on DallasChild’s Safety Report Card.*

The playscape is divided into separate areas for kids ages 5-12 and kids ages 2-5 by a walkway with guardrails. The section for older children includes twisty and bumpy slides, a ramp for climbing and a tic-tac-toe game. The area for younger adventurers features a cool covered slide and a bar and rings that are perfect for hanging out. Four swings and overhead wheels designed for hanging and spinning round out the playscape’s fun features. A thick carpet of mulch makes for a safe fall zone.

With lots of space for running and climbing and cool shades overhead to protect little ones (and parents!) from the sun, this playscape is the ideal spot to spring into the new season.

This review was distributed to Plano Parks and Recreation for further review and/or action.
