Location: 2200 Rockridge Terrace, off Forest Park Blvd. in Fort Worth. Located just east of the Fort Worth Zoo, it has a parking lot directly in front of the entrance.
Best for: Playdates, picnics, parties and kids needing to burn off energy. Multiple play areas and structures offer activities for a variety of ages, from infants to school-age. There are multiple slides, bridges, swings and things to climb, including a small rock climbing wall. While there are separate areas for infants/toddlers and older kids, there’s a blend of equipment in each area, making it an appealing choice for families with kids of different ages. Shaded benches and picnic tables throughout are perfect for picnics and parties.
Safety: Tall, closely spaced rails enclose all of the high areas. The entire park is fenced, and the equipment has been well maintained by the community that originally funded the park. Because of the nooks and crannies in the main play structure, it can be difficult to keep your eye on your child at times.
