If your little ones love to explore the outdoors, Park in the Woods is perfect for you. Surrounding the playground is a wooded area, which provides plenty of shade and helps Park in the Woods live up to its name. Plenty of benches and picnic tables provide space for Mom and Dad to relax while the kids play. Though the rest of the park looks a little dated, the playground is in excellent condition. There are no cracks, holes, splinters or broken parts. Parking can be a problem because the only parking lot is across the street, next to a baseball field. You have to park and use the crosswalk at the traffic light to get to the playground. If you’re juggling kids, strollers and diaper bags, you may find the parking situation bothersome. There are also no restrooms on site. Park in the Woods’ playground scored 20 out of 24 points on the Safety Report Card, giving it an overall grade of A. 6801 Mountain Creek Pkwy.
