Orchard Valley Park in Lewisville

Location: 1133 Brittany Place, Lewisville. Located at the intersection of Brittany and Lindsey Trail.

What makes it noteworthy: Orchard Valley Park is a small, well-maintained park. There is only one play structure; however, each side is geared toward a different age group. The side for older kids has one big twisty slide, a tunnel slide and a rock-climbing wall, while the younger kids’ side has one small and one medium-sized slide and stairs to get to the top.

Extras: This playground has two regular swings and two baby swings and a climbing section with monkey bars and climbing rings. It is near a shady wooded trail, perfect during the glaring summertime sun. There are benches throughout and a covered pavilion.

Safety: This playground received an A* on the Playground Safety Report Card. There are not separate playgrounds for different age groups, but the play structure is open, making it easy to keep an eye on kids, and it was clean without any rust or noticeable damage.
