Nette Shultz Park in Denton

Location: Located at 1517 Mistywood Lane at the corner of Royal Lane and Mistywood Lane.

What makes it noteworthy: Surrounded by a forest of shade trees, Nette Shultz Park is great for picnics and playtime. There are two different play sets for kids of different ages that provide a total of nine slides, four swings, a rock-climbing wall, two play tunnels and monkey bars.

Extras: This 10-acre park has two tennis courts, a practice soccer field and a small walking trail with a bridge. Also, there are many park benches and water fountains, and plenty of space for grilling out and relaxing.

Safety: This playground received an A* on the Playground Safety Report Card, with the only safety caution being the tunnels in the play sets that make the kids difficult to see when they are inside. Also, there are no restrooms at the park.
