We’ve all heard of mom’s day out, but what about a mom’s night out? The Down Syndrome Partnership of Tarrant County (DSPTC) hosts a Mom’s Night Out event once a month for moms of a child or adult with Down Syndrome. Over dinner moms share stories, photos of their children and advice on doctors, therapies and schools. The group provides a place of comfort and socializing that feeds the spirit. They encourage all moms to come even if they don’t know anyone. The Mom’s Night Out is held at several locations to reach moms in different communities. Dinner cost is not covered, but you’ll walk away with free smiles and hugs! Dads, they’ve got something for you too. Dads Appreciating Down Syndrome (D.A.D.S.) meets bimonthly on Tuesdays at Cooper’s BBQ in Fort Worth. The DSPTC is free to join and is a great network for all families with children or adults with Down Syndrome living in the Dallas/Fort Worth areas to receive helpful resources and participate in fun events.
