Mimosa Park Playground in Richardson

Tucked away in a residential Richardson neighborhood at Mimosa and Apache Drive is Mimosa Park Playground. The playground structures have many fun features for kids—and a couple of perks for parents too, such as shaded equipment and peepholes in the crawl spaces allowing for easier supervision. The two play areas (one for big kids and the other for young children) are separated by a set of swings but are not clearly marked with age-appropriate recommendations. And, although the little kids’ structure has guardrails, the larger structure does not—so parents may also want to exercise caution while older children are playing.

This review was distributed to the City of Richardson Parks and Recreation for further review and/or action.
