Located near the intersection of Marsh and Keller Springs, the maze of wooden bridges and tunnels at the Kiddie Corral playground provides plenty of Western-style fun for kids of all ages. And, best of all, the playscape earned an A on DallasChild’s Safety Report Card.*
The play area for older children includes a fun twisty slide, a climbing wall and monkey bars. The playscape resembles a wooden fort, with lots of narrow spaces in which kids can climb and hide out. Little kids will enjoy many of the same features as the older kids, but on a smaller scale. The playground’s open space provides plenty of room to run, with a carpet of wooden mulch to break kids’ falls.
While the playscape earned an A, it could use a bit of updating. The foam flooring in one area of the playground appears to be peeling up in places. Also, parents should be aware that the playscape has numerous spots where kids could hide out of their parents’ sight—so keep a close eye on them!
