Heritage Park in Allen

The next time you’re up for a bit of exercise, pack up the stroller and head to Allen’s Heritage Park. The beautifully landscaped walking trails make the perfect place for a stroll, topped off with a visit to the park’s playscape, which earned an A on DallasChild’s Safety Report Card.*

The playscape is small, but it packs a lot of punch with a tall, twisty slide and a smaller bumpy slide. Little climbers will love the curved ladder, spiral pole and other fun spots where they can get a leg up. There’s even a play Jeep where kids can sit and let their imaginations take off. The play area, which is carpeted with a thick layer of mulch, includes swings for babies and big kids, space for running and a bench — in case the walking trails were a bit too challenging.

This review was distributed to Allen Parks and Recreation for further review and/or action.
