Location: 6201 Beaty Street, Fort Worth. You can see the baseball fields and community center from Interstate 820. Park at the community center.
Why it’s noteworthy: The rainbow-colored playground will attract kiddos of all ages — even the benches are multicolored. There is one large play structure that is divided by a rail. Little kids have their own side that’s lower to the ground with matching games and slides. Big kids have taller climbing equipment and two large tube slides. There are also swings and a large merry-go-round.
Extras: The park has baseball fields, a basketball court and the Handley-Meadowbrook Community Center. There are two covered pavilions with picnic tables and benches.
Safety: The playground could use some fresh mulch and there are small amounts of litter and rust throughout. Overall, the playground is in decent condition, scoring a B* on the Safety Report Card. But keep an eye on the merry-go-round, as kids could get stuck or injured if they are underneath it while it’s in use.
