Location: 2610 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch. Located behind the rose garden, adjacent to Farmers Branch City Hall.
What makes it noteworthy: Both big and little kids have plenty to climb, crawl under and slide down at this large playground. Separate structures for toddlers and big kids include a variety of swings, slides, walkways and climbing structures.
Extras: Entertainment for the whole family can be found in abundance between the nearby rose garden, horseshoe pits, basketball court, tennis courts and covered picnic area. On the walking path of the rose garden, there is even a Little Free Library, a miniature space for book sharing.
Safety: Gussie Field Watterworth Park scored a B* on the Safety Report Card. The older structures back up to a man-made pond where curious kids might wander off.
