VIBE: Fuzzy’s is like those ubiquitous fish taco restaurants in Southern California — it’s casual, relaxed, the perfect place to linger on a weekend afternoon. There are at least a dozen televisions in the dining room, each tuned to a different ESPN station. This adds to the loud, cheerful atmosphere. Wear your flip-flops, order a cold beer and settle in here to watch the Mavs or the Cowboys!
WHY IT'S TOT-FRIENDLY: Fuzzy’s relaxed attitude makes it a great place to take kids — down to the rolls of paper towels on the tables. The kids’ menu is dirt cheap and the portions are big. The service is fast and friendly, so you won’t wait long, and the kids can watch TV in the meantime.
BE SURE TO TRY: Fuzzy’s boasts that it is “Home of the Original Fish Taco,” so be sure to sample the Tempura Baja Taco. If fish tacos aren’t your bag, sample any of the Tex-Mex dishes from their huge menu. The fajitas and burritos are especially good, but note that the portions are hefty. Be prepared to share or take home a doggie bag. Their Butt Burnin’ Hot Sauce lives up to its name, so keep it away from the little ones!
GOOD TO KNOW: Fuzzy’s has several easy options for ordering: you can call in and take out, or order online. Breakfast is served for the early morning crowd. They also offer catering.
BEST TIMES TO GO WITH KIDS: Head there for lunch on weekends, when there is less of a bar crowd.
