Why it’s noteworthy: This seven-acre park will be a hit with science-loving kids. The large covered playground has a prehistoric archeological feel with a hint of outer space. Kids can climb numerous rock walls and discover fossils engraved on the equipment.
Extras: Learn how to say the planets (including Pluto) in seven different languages with a hands-on game. The playground also features an elaborate set of monkey bars with beginner and expert levels, a basketball court, swings and a large brick pavilion with picnic tables and grills.
