F.J. "Red" Kane Park Playground in Arlington

Located on South Cooper Street in Arlington, the playground equipment is in good shape, with no damage or rust. Two playgrounds for different age groups are clearly marked with signage that also denotes rules of behavior. The three-level play structure for kids 5-12 is much higher than 8 feet; however, the first two levels have guardrails, and the top level is completely enclosed. The climbing wall feature on this structure may be too dangerous even for some 5-year-olds. Plenty of picnic tables and benches are scattered throughout the park. None are covered, but an abundance of trees provides ample shade.

The biggest thrill may be the pond, with a fishing dock, ducks and geese.  Hiking and bicycle trails, a basketball court, and open fields for soccer or baseball offer activities for everyone.
