Description
Children 2 to 5-year-olds gear up for the annual Wylie 500 Pedal Car Race in historic downtown Wylie. More than 200 children select a unique car of their choice that has been provided and decorated by local merchants and race 500 inches down Ballard Avenue in heats of seven.
Winners receive trophies in two age brackets:
Children 2 to 3-year-olds: 1pm check-in, 2pm race start
Children 4 to 5-year-olds: 2pm check-in, 3pm race start
Register online at eventbrite.com to ensure a spot, or on-site on race day (cash only) beginning at 1pm. This is a rain or shine event. The Pedal Car Race is sponsored by the Wylie Downtown Merchants Association, the City of Wylie, and Ballard Street Cafe.
