Description
Worldwide Day of Play is coming to town. On Saturday, September 27 from 10am to 3pm, families can head to SPARK! Dallas for the city’s only such celebration of screen-free fun. Families can participate in Nickelodeon-style activities all day like slime-making, hula hoop contests, games, and even a throwback Double Dare challenge.
Plus, groove to '90s throwback tunes, play classic board games, and explore SPARK!’s incredible 6,000-square-foot Climb, Crawl, Slide Sculpture - a one-of-a-kind creative play place you won’t find anywhere else.
Each half hour, there will be a guided program to keep families moving and playing. At the top of the hour, staff and volunteers will facilitate nostalgic games based off of the classic 1990s Nickelodeon shows. Between guided games and play on SPARK!’s giant indoor creative play structure, children will have the opportunity to create their own Nickelodeon Green Slime.
Hosted by SPARK! Dallas, a nonprofit creative arts playground that ignites imagination through immersive, hands-on experiences (learn more at sparkdallas.org), and sponsored by Nickelodeon and West Monroe. Bring the whole family and discover how play fuels creativity.
Our World: Worldwide Day of Play is part of Nickelodeon’s Our World global initiative to inspire kids and provide them with tools to activate their individual and collective agency. As part of a network of more than 360 ACM member children’s museums who reach millions of families in North America, and the over 1,450 museums participating in Museums for All, a national access initiative that ACM manages, SPARK! is a vital collaborator in the Our World: Worldwide Day of Play.

Note that the SPARK! facility is recommended for children in second grade and older. Younger children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Toddlers are not allowed in the Climb, Crawl, Slide sculpture, and strollers and baby carriers of any kind are not permitted inside SPARK!
