Additional Information

Work off those Thanksgiving calories before you take a single bite at the annual Turkey Roll Bicycle Rally. Typically held the Saturday before Thanksgiving, this year’s rally has gone virtual, enabling participants to ride the distance and date that best suits them.

All proceeds from the Turkey Roll will benefit the programs of the Denton Breakfast Kiwanis, which includes sponsorship of eight youth leadership clubs (Circle K, Key Club, Builders Club) and their Tiny Libraries project, which provides books for school-aged children.

Virtual options include full ride on a route chosen by you — with ride number, masked turkey commemorative shirt, and virtual event bag; reduced rates for children 12 and under; and no frills with all perks except the shirt.

You may ride the traditional route in Denton County or a route of your choosing with rest stops designated by you along the way. Apply your virtual goody bag coupons to treats from sponsors either before or after rally day.

Or, if you prefer, just donate to the youth service and leadership clubs sponsored by Denton Breakfast Kiwanis at local middle and high schools and at UNT or to the Tiny Libraries for young children we place at local elementary schools and gathering spots.

Register no later than noon on Saturday, November 21 and complete your ride by Sunday, November 22, at 5pm. Check out the cycling page to see routes within Denton and Denton county, from Bike-Walk Denton, the City of Denton and Sprockets Bike Shop.

The virtual ride offers the unique opportunity to ride at a time of your choice and to adjust your date to the weather. Just complete your official ride and submit your picture using the hashtag #dentonturkeyroll no later than Monday, November 23.

Ride follow-up: Masked turkey T-shirts commemorating this virtual ride in the sizes required will be mailed to your designated address soon after the rally.
