Description
The Sid Richardson Museum offers this two-day art making opportunity for creative teens. -Two days of art-making sessions
-Live interactions with staff educators and other participants
-Virtual visits to the Museum galleries through video tours
-Demonstrations in mediums including painting, drawing, and sculpture
-All necessary art supplies and tools conveniently packaged and shipped to you
Registration opens May 31. This teen workshop will be split between two days. Each session runs 9:30–11:30am. The workshop includes live virtual lessons, online interactions with camp staff and other students, as well as self-paced work offline. Participants will need to be logged into our virtual platform for the live component of camp.
Teens will need a pencil, water cup, and paper towels or rags for cleanup. All other necessary supplies and tools for the workshop will be included in the Art Kit. Prior to the event, art kits will be shipped to households (within 600 miles of the museum). All other households will be provided a list of materials to purchase.
All of the live lessons and virtual interactions will take place through two password protected Zoom sessions. Further instructions and activities can be accessed through provided links. Internet access required. Camera and email required to submit work to participate in the culminating online exhibition.
