Description

We all know that native plants are great for local insects, but how about those cultivars from native species sometimes called nativars? Let's dive in with guest speaker Sam Hoadley as he talks about his research on insects and natives.

Sam Hoadley is the Manager of Horticultural Research at Mt. Cuba Center where he evaluates native plant species, old and new cultivars, and hybrids in the Trial Garden. He earned his degree in Sustainable Landscape Horticulture from the University of Vermont. Master gardeners will receive 1.5 CEU's for the symposium.

This virtual event will be held on Zoom and is hosted by Texas Discovery Gardens. You will be emailed the Zoom ID and password the morning of July 17th.
