Description

The tween social group at FEAT-NT (Families for Effective Autism Treatment-North Texas) is for children in third through eighth grades (flexible) with high functioning autism/Aspergers. This program, called Connecting Cool Kids, provides two hours of social games and dinner for the children, held on the first Saturday evening of the month.

This non-clinical, parent-run, social group focuses on the skills necessary to have a friend over to play: greeting, sharing, turn taking, staying with a friend, flexibility in how a game or activity is done. Parents will work directly with their children to help them engage and have fun with others.

Suggested donation of $5 per person, or $10 per family eating to cover food and drinks and can be given upon arrival. RSVP online here: localautismevents.com/rsvp. For more information visit featnt.org.
