Description

The Trick-A-Trout Kid Fish is for first-time and young anglers to try the sport of fishing at Frisco's Commons pond, which was recently stocked with 3,000 rainbow trout. Bring your own fishing gear and bait, plus chairs, snacks and drinks.
-For kids 16 years and younger, no license required.
-The average size of the fish is eight to ten inches
-Daily bag limit is five per child

Tips for successful fishing:
-Use a lightweight line (4 to 6 pounds test), small hooks and small sinkers.
-Bait can include live worms, power bait, whole kernel corn, cheese, salmon eggs, marshmallows or small artificial lures.
-The first twenty-five kids to catch a trout will win a rod and reel combo set.
-This event is rain or shine. Check the forecast and be prepared for the weather.
-Adult anglers may start fishing at 11 a.m. that day. Those 17 years old and up are required to have a Texas fishing license, which is available at most sporting goods stores.

Everyone is encouraged to keep fishing until they're no longer biting. Park hours are from dawn until dusk.
