Additional Information

Description

Since the inaugural 9/11 Heroes Run Event in Doylestown, PA in 2007, runners, walkers and ruckers have come together to honor our nation’s first responders who selflessly sacrificed on September 11 and veterans who have served in the wars since. Since that first race, the event has expanded to races in over 90 communities worldwide, with 60,000 people each year.

The 9/11 Heroes Run events unite communities internationally with the goal to never forget the sacrifices of all of our nation’s heroes, from the first responders who came to the aid of thousands of Americans in New York City, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania, to the service members who have worn the uniform with pride since that day.

On this 20th anniversary of September 11, 2001, join the Travis Manion Foundation in honoring their legacies by coming together as Americans and remembering their sacrifices and courage. Strollers and dogs are welcome.

GORUCK

Travis Manion Foundation is proud to partner with GORUCK again in 2021, bringing rucking divisions to every 9/11 Heroes Run. Rucking is a sport grounded in Special Forces Training in which participants carry weighted rucksacks. All participants registered for the GORUCK division will receive this exclusive Travis Manion Foundation GORUCK patch. Please read the rules and requirements carefully as they have changed since last year and learn all about GORUCK here.

The inspiration for our foundation comes from its namesake. Dedicated to 1st Lt Travis Manion, USMC, who made the ultimate sacrifice for the safety of his patrol in 2007, TMF carries on the legacy of selfless service and leadership embodied by Travis and all those who have served, or continue to serve, our nation.

Before his final deployment to Iraq, Travis left us with a simple but powerful ethos. “If Not Me, Then Who...” describes the sense of duty felt by service members and their families. Today it is a constant reminder for all of us to live with character and put the interests of others before our own.
