Looking for something fun and unique to do this winter? Guided walking tours of the Museum of the American Railroad's rolling stock site will be available each Wednesday through Friday at 1pm and Saturdays at 11am and 1pm.
Site tours are entirely outdoors and involve walking and some climbing. The museum site is still under construction and accessibility is limited. For those who may have mobility concerns, please contact a member of the museum staff prior to your visit so staff can make an effort to accommodate your needs during periods of construction. Please dress comfortably for outdoor activity, including closed toe shoes, coats and hats.
Note that self-guided tours are not available. Call ahead 214/428-0101 to check the status of the tour schedule in case of inclement weather. Tours will last approximately 45 minutes and will originate at the Frisco Discovery Center, just adjacent to the Railroad Museum. Please pay admission at TrainTopia inside the Frisco Discovery Center.
Admission is $8 per adult and $4 per child for walking tour or TrainTopia admission. Combo ticket admission is $12 for adults and $6 for children ages 3–12.
Tours will continue through spring. Those schedules will be posted closer to the end of the winter schedule. As we complete future phases of construction, the museum will add additional days and times to the schedule.
