On Saturday, January 17, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra's performs The Unicorn’s Birthday, a sensory-friendly symphonic experience for families of kids with special needs. Join the FWSO for a musical birthday celebration filled with narration, fun sounds, on-stage action, and friendly animals—including a special visit from the Birthday Unicorn. Learn more here.
This event presents the work of Grammy-nominated and award-winning composer Bob Singleton, whose full-orchestra composition was created especially for audiences with special needs.
This performance is thoughtfully designed to support children and adults with sensory sensitivities. Enjoy adjusted lighting and sound, flexible seating, and a welcoming, judgment-free environment. Audience members are free to move around or take breaks, and a quiet space is available. KultureCity sensory bags, including fidget tools and noise-canceling headphones, will also be available.
